Alex Klein has a diverse work experience. In 2009, they worked as a Research Fellow at The IE Center for Nonmarket Strategy. In 2010, they were a Reporter at The Times, and in 2011, they worked as a Writer at both The New Republic and New York Magazine. In 2012, they worked as a Reporter and Writer at Newsweek and The Daily Beast. In 2013, they became a Co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Kano Computing. In August 2015, they took on the role of Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Kano Computing.

Alex Klein completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Ethics, Politics, and Economics at Yale University from 2008 to 2012. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Politics at the University of Cambridge from 2012 to 2013.
