Deborah Stoppello's work experience includes serving as the Director of Library Collections at the Kansas City Public Library starting in June 2016. Prior to that, they were the Collection Development Manager at the same library from October 2012 to May 2016. Before working at the Kansas City Public Library, they held the position of Collection Development Manager at Brodart Company from June 2008 to September 2012 and Collection Development Librarian from June 2004 to May 2008. Deborah also served as the Head of Electronic Resources at Old Bridge Library from October 2002 to September 2003. Earlier in their career, they were a Reference Librarian II at the St. Charles City-County Library District from June 1996 to September 2002 and a Reference Librarian at the St. Louis County Library from December 1996 to June 1997.
Deborah Stoppello holds a Master of Library & Information Science (M.L.I.S.) degree from Emporia State University. Deborah also received a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Kansas School of Law. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
