Jerry Kitzi is a seasoned professional in child and youth development with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently, Kitzi serves as the Charter Sponsor and Director of the Office of Early Learning at Kansas City Public Schools since November 2012. Previously, Kitzi held the position of Director and Associate Dean at the Francis Institute MCC-Penn Valley from 2006 to November 2012, overseeing the Institute's efforts to provide quality education and training in early childhood and youth development. Kitzi also served as the Executive Director of the Francis Family Foundation from August 2002 to August 2006, contributing to innovative philanthropic efforts in education. Additionally, Kitzi was the Vice President for the Youth Development Division at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation from 1989 to 2000, responsible for strategic planning and grant-making in child and youth development. Academic credentials include an MBA from Rockhurst University, a Master's in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education from Missouri Valley College.
