Sara Peters

Sara Peters, P.E. has over 15 years of experience in traffic engineering, currently serving as the Bureau Chief of Traffic Engineering at the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) since April 2020. Prior roles at KDOT include Interim Bureau Chief and State Traffic Engineer. Before returning to KDOT, Sara served as Design Manager at gbaSI from July 2014 to April 2020 and worked as a Traffic Engineer at KDOT from August 2008 to July 2014. Sara holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University, earned between 2003 and 2008.
