Network Design Engineer at Kansas Fiber Network

Alex (AJ) Renfro has had various work experiences in the field of engineering and manufacturing. Alex (AJ) started their professional journey as a CNC Machinist at Brittain Machine, Inc. in 2013 and worked there until 2015. Later, they worked as a Setup Machinist at Lightning Aerospace, LLC for a brief period before joining Spirit AeroSystems in 2015 as an Aircraft Mechanic. During their time at Spirit AeroSystems, they worked on 737 major assembly line in several capacities, including as a team lead. In 2016, they worked as a CNC machinist at Youngers & Sons Mfg. for 6 months. After that, they worked as an IT Intern at Exacta Aerospace, Inc. and later as a Makino Mag3 Operator until 2020 in the same company. Currently, they work at Kansas Fiber Network as a Network Design Specialist starting from 2020 and is now working as a Network Design Engineer.

Alex (AJ) Renfro began their education at Wichita Area Technical College in 2018, where they earned a Technical Certificate in Information Systems and Technology. In 2019, they then enrolled at Western Governors University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Software Development, which they will complete in 2022. Additionally, AJ has obtained several certifications, including CompTIA A+, ITIL® 4 Foundation CPD, CIW User Interface Designer, and MEF-CECP, from institutions such as CompTIA, AXELOS Global Best Practice, Certification Partners (CIW), and MEF Forum, respectively.
