Matthew Payne

Matthew Payne is a Lieutenant with the Kansas Highway Patrol, serving since January 2002, and currently holds the role of State Coordinator for the Drug Recognition Expert Program within the Drug & Alcohol Evaluation Unit. Prior to this position, Matthew served as a Technical Trooper for Cabinet Member Governor Brownback from January 2010 to February 2011. Matthew Payne earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Law Enforcement from Washburn University between 1999 and 2001, and an Associate of Arts from Kansas City Kansas Community College from 1997 to 1999.
