Jamie Kootz, Ed.D, CPT, CNC has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in education and fitness. They started as a Teacher and Coach at Heartland Lutheran High School from 2006 to 2008. Following that, they served as an Assistant Cross Country and Track Coach at Washington University in St. Louis from 2008 to 2011. Afterwards, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis Community College from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they became a Facility Trainer/Instructor at FMWR-Harney Sports Complex until 2018. Starting in 2012, they also took on the role of a Certified Personal Trainer at FMWR-Gruber Gym until 2015. From 2013 to the present, they have been working as an Online Adjunct Instructor at MidAmerica Nazarene University. Currently, Jamie is serving as the Director of Graduate Education and Instructional Technology at Kansas Wesleyan University since 2019 and is also an Adjunct Instructor at the same institution since 2015.
Jamie Kootz, Ed.D, CPT, CNC, holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Sports Management, with a specialization in Leadership and an emphasis in Sports Fitness and Health, which was obtained from the United States Sports Academy in the years 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, Jamie completed a Master of Sports Science degree in Sports Fitness and Health from the same institution, spanning from 2008 to 2010. Additionally, Jamie attained a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree from Concordia University, Nebraska, between the years 2002 and 2006, with a focus on Mathematics and Computer Science as well as Physical Education and Coaching. Alongside these academic achievements, Jamie has also obtained various certifications, including but not limited to Certified Nutrition Coach from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
