Erik Buis

Erik Buis is an experienced professional in the fields of compliance and investigation, currently serving as a Toezichthouder at Kansspelautoriteit since August 2023. Prior roles include working as an AML, CTF & Business Line AFC Advisor and Analyst at Deutsche Bank from January 2019 to June 2022, and as a FEC CDD Analist at ING from May 2016 to December 2018, where Erik conducted customer investigations to assess integrity risks. Earlier experience includes a position as a Studentchauffeur at AB-AZ Studentchauffeurs and a Saturday employee in internal transport at Action Service & Distributie BV. Additionally, Erik completed an internship as a Research Intern at the Netherlands Police Agency, focusing on organized drug crime. Erik holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, as well as a Propedeuse in Media and Entertainment Management from Inholland University of Applied Sciences.
