Paulette Carlson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Paulette began their career as the Founding Creator and Director of the Paradigm Community Arts Festival, where they developed a non-profit business plan and managed a five-day art and music festival focused on educating the community about the link between domestic violence, substance abuse, and poverty.

Following this, Paulette worked as a Program Coordinator at YMCA Outreach's Kiwanis House Program, where they supervised a staff, wrote reports and grant applications, and established new partnerships through community outreach efforts. Paulette also served as a Youth and Family Counselor at the same organization, providing counseling and support to clients facing various challenges.

In 2006, Paulette worked as a Yoga Instructor as a contractor, a role they held until 2013. Paulette then joined Dev Bootcamp as a Junior Web Development Student and Mentor, where they gained technical skills in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and other web development technologies while also learning real-world skills such as pair programming and giving and receiving feedback.

Paulette joined Jelly Belly Candy Company in 2013 as a Junior Full Stack Web Developer, responsible for maintaining the front-end of the company's e-commerce website. Paulette worked closely with a small team and played a key role in maintaining the website's functionality.

Most recently, Paulette has been with Kantata since 2014. Paulette has held various roles within the company, starting as a Software Engineer and progressing to Engineering Manager. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Engineering, overseeing the company's engineering department.
