Stephan Baumann

Stephan Baumann currently serves as Stv. Direktor/BL ZD JVA Thorberg at Kanton Bern since February 2023. Previously, Baumann held the position of Geschäftsbereichsleiter Dienstleistungen und Assistent der Geschäftsleitung at Furrer+Frey AG from November 2018 to January 2023. Baumann's legal background includes working as a Jurist (MLaw utr. iur.) at Université de Fribourg/Universität Freiburg from December 2014 to July 2018. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Refbejuso as Leiter Fachstelle Infrastruktur and Projektleiter from October 2009 to November 2014, as well as positions in military justice and payment processing at Oberauditorat and UBS, respectively. Educational qualifications include an MLaw from Université de Fribourg (2014), a Personalfachmann degree from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW (2004), and a vocational qualification as Baumschulist EFZ from Gewerbliche Berufsschule Lyss.
