Daisuke Hamada

Daisuke Hamada is an accomplished executive in the chemical industry, currently serving as Executive Officer and President of the Chemical Business at Kao Corporation since January 2024. Previously, Daisuke held the position of President and CEO at Kao Chemicals Europe from January 2019 to December 2023, and served as Executive Vice President at Kao Collins Inc. from September 2016 to December 2018, focusing on global R&D for inkjet technologies. Prior experience includes multiple roles at Kao Corporation, including Project Lead and Director in R&D for imaging materials. Daisuke's career began at Kao Corporation as a Research Chemist, complemented by a background in R&D for construction chemicals at Kao Chemicals GmbH. Daisuke holds a Master’s degree in Applied Chemistry from Waseda University, with additional education from UCLA Extension.
