Razan Massarani-Wafai, MD was born and raised in Homs, Syria. She studied medicine at the medical school of Damascus, Syria and graduated in 1989, moved to the United States in 1990. Razan is board certified in Pathology and Cytopathology from Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois in 1998. She served in the faculty body of Loyola University as associate professor of pathology and later as the Cytology fellowship program director until 2014. Razan is currently an associate pathologist at Dryer Medical Clinics. She traveled with Karam Foundation to Reyhanli, Turkey several times to lead workshops on health and wellness. Razan was also part of the KLP mission in Nov 2014. She lives in Burr Ridge, Illinois, married and has three kids.
