Gillian Roll

Gillian Roll is an experienced professional in strategy and research, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Strategy, Place and Insight at Karbon Homes since March 2023. Prior to this role, Gillian held the position of Head of Strategy, Research and Innovation at Home Group from January 2014 to March 2023. Previous experiences include serving as Economic Strategy Manager at North East Local Enterprise Partnership and a Visiting Fellow at Newcastle University. Gillian also has a substantial background with One NorthEast, where multiple roles such as Head of Regional Strategy and Project Manager for SHINE were held. Earlier positions include Policy and Development Officer at VONNE and Equalities Policy Officer at Gateshead Council. Gillian's educational background includes a BA Hons and MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science in Social Research from Northumbria University.
