Ian Johnson

Ian Johnson has a diverse work experience in the housing sector. Ian'smost recent role was as the Executive Director of Customer Services at Karbon Homes since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Property Services at Karbon Homes from January 2018 to May 2022. Before joining Karbon Homes, Ian was the Chief Executive Officer of Tyne Housing Group from November 2015 to January 2018. Ian also held several positions at Homes for Northumberland, including Director of Operations from January 2014 to October 2015, Director of Property Services from March 2011 to January 2014, and Business Planning and Support Manager from April 2009 to March 2011. Earlier in their career, Ian worked at Blyth Valley Borough Council as the Head of Safer Neighbourhoods Unit from October 2007 to March 2009 and at Blyth Valley Housing as the Anti-Social Behaviour Unit Manager from August 2003 to October 2007. Ian began their career at Sunderland Housing Group as a Tenancy Enforcement Officer from September 1999 to August 2003 and as a Housing Officer from October 1997 to September 1999.

Ian Johnson attended Monkwearmouth School from 1987 to 1992. Ian then pursued a BA Degree in Housing Studies from Northumbria University from 2000 to 2002.
