Frank Waaga

Frank Waaga has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Frank is currently the Head of Medical Engagement at Karger Publishers, starting in December 2023. Prior to that, they owned their own company, Strongbond, starting in September 2022. Frank also served as the Chief Operating Officer at Volahealth AG from July 2021 to June 2022.

Before these roles, Frank was the Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder of MedicalWriters.com, where they played a key role in building the business from a two-person start-up to a company with 48 employees. Frank also worked at Smith & Nephew as an Account Manager, Marketing Communications Europe from October 2011 to March 2013.

Frank has experience in event management, medical writing, and strategic business and marketing services, having worked as a Senior Project Manager at nspm ltd from September 2004 to September 2011. Their career began as a Marketing Assistant for Olympics & Sports Events at Swatch Ltd. from February 2003 to September 2004.

Frank Waaga has a Bachelor's degree in International Communication from Østfold University College (HiØ) which they obtained from 1999 to 2002. In 2007, they completed the Pharma-Marketing Zertifizierter Lehrgang at ZfU International Business School, focusing on Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management. Recently, they pursued a Modern Concepts in Clinical Research (CAS ETH MCCR) degree in Digital Clinical Research at ETH Zürich from 2022 to 2023. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Good Clinical Practice (GCP-E6(R2) 2016) and the Swiss National Supplement from TRAINING AND RESOURCES IN RESEARCH ETHICS EVALUATION (TRREE) in 2023. Frank also holds a certification in Business Creation ENGINEERING from Venturelab, obtained in 2021.
