Medical Director, Medical Affairs at Karius

Ricardo Castillo-Galvan MD MPH has extensive work experience in the healthcare and research sectors. Ricardo currently holds the position of Medical Director, Medical Affairs at Karius, a role they began in April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellow from July 2018 to June 2021. Ricardo also served as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from May 2016 to May 2018. Ricardo's earlier experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital from March 2011 to May 2015.

Ricardo Castillo-Galvan MD MPH pursued their education at several prestigious institutions. Ricardo earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Clinical Effectiveness from Harvard University in 2016. Following this, they completed a Postgraduate Degree in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University from 2018 to 2021. Earlier in their career, Ricardo completed a Neonatal Perinatal Fellowship at Escuela de Medicina del Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2008 to 2011, and a Pediatrics Residency at the same institution from 2004 to 2008. Ricardo'seducational journey began with a Medical Doctor degree from Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, which was completed prior to 2003.
