Sarah Park's work experience includes several roles in the medical field. Sarah is currently serving as the Medical Director, Medical Affairs at Karius since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and as a Contract Physician in Pediatric Infectious Disease at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children, both starting in November 2007.

From 2004 to 2020, Sarah held various positions at the Hawaii State Department of Health, including State Epidemiologist and Chief, Disease Outbreak Control Division. Sarah also served as the Acting State Epidemiologist and Acting Chief in the same division in 2008. Before that, they were the Deputy State Epidemiologist in the Disease Outbreak Control Division from August 2004 to June 2008.

Sarah has also worked as an Applied Epidemiology Influenza Surveillance Consultant in the CDC-Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) International Consultant Program in 2012 and 2015. Sarah served as a Consultant in the Stop Transmission of Polio (STOP) program at the World Health Organization in 2007.

Sarah's earlier experiences include being an Epidemic Intelligence Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2002 to 2004 and holding various roles at the University of California, San Francisco, including Pediatric Infectious Disease Clinical Instructor, Infectious Disease Research Fellow, and Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellow from 1998 to 2002.

Sarah began their career as a Pediatric Resident at Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford from June 1995 to June 1998.

Sarah Park attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Sarah then attended the Boston University School of Medicine from 1991 to 1995, earning their MD in Medicine.
