Alexandra Rixen

Alexandra Rixen is an experienced project leader and process engineer with a strong background in water and wastewater management, having served as Projektledare at Karlskoga Energi & Miljö AB since September 2020, overseeing the expansion of municipal water networks and major investment projects. Prior to this role, Alexandra was a Processingenjör at Cambrex Karlskoga AB, managing processes in a large cGMP facility for API production. Contributions at Sweco Environment AB included project and assignment leadership for multidisciplinary tasks related to wastewater treatment plants, environmental reports, and public procurement. Alexandra's academic qualifications include a Civilingenjör kemiteknik degree from Karlstad University and studies at Hamburg University of Technology and Luleå University of Technology. Early career experience includes research assistance focused on enhancing energy efficiency in wastewater treatment and teaching at TUHH.
