Kevin Walter

Kevin Walter has extensive experience in the automotive and racing industries, with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Manager of Powertrain Systems Testing at Karma Automotive since November 2016, Kevin champions the installation and management of advanced powertrain test cells. Previously, as Vice President of Development at LightSail Energy, Kevin built a skilled team of 35 engineers and technicians. Kevin has also held leadership roles at Richard Petty Motorsports and Toyota Racing Development, where responsibilities included managing engine supply for major racing series and overseeing substantial budgets. Kevin’s early career at Penske Racing involved significant contributions to engine development and durability testing, establishing a strong foundation in mechanical engineering obtained from Kettering University.
