Karma Nirvana

Since 1993 Karma Nirvana have supported thousands of victims of Honour Abuse, Disownment and Forced Marriage in the UK. We operate a nationwide helpline, run education awareness programmes and providing training to the NHS, Social Services, Schools and Police Forces throughout Britain. The charity was founded by author, activist and survivor Jasvinder Sanghera CBE. Jasvinder was instrumental in persuading the UK government to criminalise Forced Marriage in 2014. Her books include 'Daughters of Shame', 'Shame Travels' and 'Shame' which was a Times top 10 best seller.
