Eric Ly has over 30 years of work experience. Eric started their career in 1988 as a QA Engineer Intern at IBM. After that, they joined Sun Microsystems in 1993 as a Software Engineer. In 1994, they moved to General Magic as a Senior Software Engineer. In 1995, they founded Netmosphere/Critical Path and served as CTO and Founder. In 2000, they founded Tresidder Networks and served as CEO and Co-Founder. In 2002, they co-founded LinkedIn and served as Founding CTO. Eric contributed to the overall strategic direction at the executive team level, and built LinkedIn's desktop products team. In 2007, they founded Presdo and served as Founder and CEO. In 2017, they founded Hub - Human Trust Protocol and served as Founder. In 2018, they co-founded KarmaCheck and served as Co-Founder and CEO.
Eric Ly attended Homestead High School before going on to Stanford University, where they obtained both a BS in Symbolic Systems in 1991 and a PhD in Computer Science in 1994. Eric then attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained an MS in Media Arts and Sciences in 1993.
