Joe Pereles

Since October 1990, Joe has been employed as Vice President and General Counsel for Drury Hotels Company, a regional hotel chain. Prior to joining Drury Hotels, Joe was a partner in the St. Louis law firm of Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale. Joe holds MBA and JD degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and an undergraduate BS degree from the University of Utah. Joe was elected to the National Board of Governors of the American Red Cross in May 2005, and served as Vice Chair of the Board, Chairman of the Governance and Board Development Committee and a member of the Executive Committee when his nine year term ended in 2014. He joined the Red Cross National Philanthropic Board in May 2014, and is also a member of the Compliance and Mediation Committee of the International Red Cross. Joe is a member of the Board of Overseers of the Hebrew Union College-Cincinnati and a Vice President of the St. Louis Jewish Community Relations Council. He also served on the advisory board of Vertex Chemical Corporation until its sale in 2011. Joe became a Karmak Board Member in 1990.
