Asfar S. Azmi

Asfar Azmi currently holds multiple leadership roles at Karmanos Cancer Institute, including Leader of the Molecular Therapeutics Research Program, Director of the Pancreas Cancer Research Initiative, and Co-Leader of the Tumor Biology and Microenvironment Research Program. Additionally, Asfar Azmi is a member of the Scientific Leadership Council at the institute. Concurrently, Asfar Azmi serves as a tenured Associate Professor at Wayne State University, where the academic journey began as an Assistant Professor on a tenure track. Asfar Azmi earned a PhD in Biochemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, following a Master’s degree and Bachelor's degree (Honors) in the same field from the same institution.
