Marufa Rumman

Marufa Rumman, PhD, current serves as a Research Budget and Contract Specialist II at Karmanos Cancer Institute since June 2023, focusing on reviewing research and clinical trial protocols, developing internal budgets, and negotiating contract terms with sponsors. Prior experience includes serving as an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow at the FDA from June 2021 to June 2023 and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Karmanos Cancer Institute between September 2017 and June 2021, specializing in cancer research. Marufa also held a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Henry Ford Health System in early 2017 and completed a PhD in Drug Development at Inha University from 2013 to 2017, where research involved understanding mechanisms behind cancer progression and metastasis. Additional educational qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Administration and Pharmacy Policy and Regulatory Affairs from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a Master's degree in Animal Genetics from the University of Dhaka.
