Nashat Imran

Nashat Imran is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as a Professor and Chief of the Nephrology Division at Wayne State University School of Medicine, along with holding positions as President and Vice President of the SOM Executive Committee. Since December 2017, Nashat has been the Chief of the Nephrology Section at Karmanos Cancer Institute and has been involved with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since September 2015 in General and Transplant Nephrology. Nashat's prior roles include Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University, Medical Director of outpatient hemodialysis units at DaVita Kidney Care, and program director of the Nephrology Fellowship. Nashat's educational background includes a Nephrology Fellowship from Baylor College of Medicine and an MD from Jordan University of Science and Technology.
