Boaz Megides

Boaz Megides has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Boaz is currently working as a Full-stack Developer at Karma since 2022.

Prior to their current role, Boaz worked as a Full Stack Developer at RealFriend from 2019 to 2022. In this position, they implemented a communication medium with users via an external API and built a recommendation system for users based on their preferences and similar users' activity. Boaz also designed and developed multiple features for the product, including back-end logic, communication with the client-side using GraphQL, and UI implementation with React.js and React Native.

Boaz also has experience as a Manager Coordinator at Green Horizons JNF - KKL from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they provided guidance and led guides and groups in their weekly activities and monthly hiking tours. Boaz was also responsible for planning and executing terrain series.

Before that, Boaz worked as a Tour Guide and Program Manager at I Belong Israel (Masa Israeli) from 2014 to 2018. Boaz led hiking tours for youth in Israel and tours abroad for adults. Additionally, they managed week-long educational tours for high schools as part of the "Masa Israeli" program.

Boaz's early career was in the Israel Defense Forces, where they served as a Special Forces - Combat Soldier and commander from 2010 to 2014.

Boaz Megides attended Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2016 to 2020. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor's degree and studied Geography and Computer Science.
