Carsten Daub

Carsten Daub has a broad range of experience in the field of genomics and bioinformatics. Carsten is currently serving as the SciLifeLab Scientific Director and the Platform Scientific Director at Genomics Platform since 2024 and 2022, respectively. Prior to these roles, they were the Facility Director at National Genomics Infrastructure (NGI) from 2019 to 2021. Before joining SciLifeLab, Carsten Daub worked at Karolinska Institutet as the Director of the Center for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics since 2021, and as a Research Group Leader since 2012. Carsten also served as the Facility Director at RIKEN from 2006 to 2012. In addition, they have worked as a Postdoc at Karolinska Institutet from 2004 to 2006 and as a PhD student at Max Planck Institute for Molecular Plant Physiology from 2000 to 2004. Carsten Daub started their career in 1995 as a Student at Chalmers Gothenburg.

Carsten Daub obtained their PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Potsdam in the year 2004. Prior to this, they completed their Diplom in Chemistry at Technische Universität Berlin, starting in 1991 and graduating in 2000.
