Daniel Lundqvist

Daniel Lundqvist has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Daniel started their career as a researcher at EyeKnow Advertising & Media Research AB in 1998, where they developed psychological research methods and designed experiments for advertising and media research. From 2004 to 2010, Daniel served as the owner of MEJSEL media & reklampsykologi AB, conducting eyetracking studies and market research on media and advertising. Simultaneously, they also worked as a postdoc at Karolinska Institutet, specializing in neuroscience and focusing on object recognition and signal evolution theory. In 2010, Daniel founded Prediction Research, where they analyzed media and advertising behavior and worked on innovating user interfaces in media and advertising. Daniel joined Karolinska Institutet again in 2012, first as a project manager and later as Head of Unit for the National Facility for Magnetoencephalography (MEG). In 2014, they became the Director of the Centre for Imaging Research (CIR), where they oversaw cutting-edge imaging techniques and facilities. In 2019, Daniel became the Head of Division Neuro at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, leading research groups and staff within the division. Daniel also briefly served as a coordinator at CIR before taking on their current role. Overall, Daniel Lundqvist has a strong background in research, neuroscience, imaging, and media and advertising analysis.

Daniel Lundqvist has a diverse education history. Daniel obtained a Bachelor's degree in Scandinavian languages from Uppsala University in 1993. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Psychology from the same institution, completing it in 1994. Later, Daniel enrolled at Karolinska Institutet, where they achieved a Ph.D. in (Neuro) psychology between 1994 and 1998. Lastly, they continued their academic journey at Karolinska Institutet, specializing in Clinical Neuroscience and ultimately becoming an Associate Professor from 2016 to 2022.
