Eleni Aklillu

Eleni Aklillu is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of pharmacology, currently holding the position of Professor of Tropical Pharmacology and Senior Research Scientist and group leader at the Karolinska Institutet. With a robust background, Eleni has served as an Associate Professor in Pharmacology and previously completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution. Prior experience includes leading the Research and Development section at Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing EPHARM and conducting research at the Institute of Biodiversity Conservation in Ethiopia. Eleni also held the role of Head of the Department of Biochemistry at Jimma University’s College of Public Health and Medical Sciences.
