Georgios Belibasakis

Georgios Belibasakis is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of oral health, currently serving as the Head of the Division of Oral Health and Periodontology, as well as the Head of International Affairs and Research at the Department of Dental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet since July 2016. Prior to this, Georgios held the position of Head of the Division of Oral Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Zurich from November 2011 to June 2016. Educational qualifications include a Habilitation in Oral Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Zurich, an MSc in Periodontics from Queen Mary University of London, a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the same institution, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Oral Microbiology from Umeå University. Georgios completed undergraduate studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
