Matti Sallberg is a Professor in the Division of Clinical Microbiology at the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, a position held since 1997. Previously, Matti Sallberg served as Head of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and as a part-time Clinical Teacher in Emergency Dentistry. Between 1993 and 1996, Matti Sallberg held the title of Associate Professor and worked as a part-time Assistant Professor at Karolinska Institutet. Additionally, experience includes a role as a Resident in Dentistry at Community Dentistry Tranås from 1992 to 1994. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Karolinska Institutet (1988-1992), a Doctor of Philosophy in Viral Immunology from Karolinska Institutet (1989-1992), and postdoctoral research in Genetic Vaccination at Scripps Research (1994-1996).
