Lanie Gutierrez-Farewik

Lanie Gutierrez-Farewik is an accomplished academic and engineering professional with extensive experience in biomechanics and rehabilitation technologies. Currently serving as Director at Promobilia MoveAbility Lab since January 2019, Lanie also holds a professorship at KTH Royal Institute of Technology since March 2004, where roles have included both Professor and Associate Professor. In addition, Lanie has been a Consulting Scientist and Biomechanical Engineer at Karolinska University Hospital since January 2000, and previously worked as a Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology from August 1997 to August 1999. Lanie completed a PhD in Orthopaedics at Karolinska Institutet (1999-2003), an MSc in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan (1995-1997), and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University (1991-1995).
