Lauren Thompson

Lauren Thompson is a Mechanical Engineer currently employed at Karpinski Engineering since January 2022. Previously, Lauren worked as an Autocad Drafter at TPC Wire & Cable Corp. from December 2018 to March 2020 and served as a Student Administrative Assistant at Akron Polymer Training Center in 2017. Lauren has also held mentoring and teaching roles, including mentoring engineering students at The University of Akron's Engineering Student Council and serving as a Resident Assistant for the Women In Engineering program, where leadership in organizing educational activities for younger students was demonstrated. Early career experience includes internships at FirstEnergy, contributing to both systems engineering and programs engineering departments. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron, completed in 2017.
