Jim Annulis

Jim Annulis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jim is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Karthik Consulting since September 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Virtual Mountaintop Buddha from July 2022 to September 2022. Jim also served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Five 9 Group, Inc. from March 2022 to July 2022.

From September 2017 to March 2022, Jim worked as the Vice President of Engineering at 10Pearls, where they focused on improving business opportunities for the team, including the successful merger with ProQual-I.T. Inc. In their role as Founder & CEO, they established and led ProQual-I.T. Inc. from July 2003 to August 2017, aiming to provide secure identity management solutions through biometrics.

Earlier in their career, Jim served as a Principal Engineer at Northrop Grumman IT, Government Solutions from December 2001 to July 2003. Jim also worked as a Senior Systems Integrator at LEX Solutions, Inc. from January 1997 to November 2001, where they played a crucial role in the development and maintenance of the INS IDENT system. Jim started their professional journey as a Software Engineer at Aerotek Engineering Service from October 1996 to January 1997, gaining expertise in Informix RDBMS, UNIX, and C.

At Hughes Aircraft Company, Jim worked as a Member Technical Staff from July 1994 to October 1996. Jim led a team of developers and worked on projects related to AFIS and the initial design implementation for INS IDENT.

Jim Annulis obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science from Loyola University Maryland from 1988 to 1992. Following that, from 1992 to 1994, they pursued another Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Later, from 1994 to 1996, Jim earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. In addition to their formal education, Jim Annulis obtained the certification of Certified SAFe® 5 DevOps Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in May 2021.
