Sean McDermott has a long and varied work experience. Sean began their career in 2009 as the CEO/Co-Founder of Big Kid Sports LLC, where they managed company operations and supervised financial processes. In 2010, they worked as a Program Financial Administrator for Stanford University, where they planned and administered a 200K budget for all project financial systems. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Account Executive for OpenTable, where they acquired new customers and acted as a liaison and consultant throughout the process. Sean then moved on to Axcient, where they served as a Channel Development Manager - Enterprise Sales. In 2015, they worked for two companies, Ascendify and SIGNIFYD, as a Director of Enterprise Sales and Enterprise Sales, respectively. Sean then moved on to DataVisor in 2018, where they served as a Regional Sales Director. In 2020, they worked for DNAnexus as a National Account Director and is currently working for Kasada as a Sales Director.
Sean McDermott has a varied educational background. Sean attended Foothill College from 2002 to 2004, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Human Biology. Sean then attended California Lutheran University from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and Economics. Sean also completed a Certification in Executive Education at Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education in 2008-2009. Additionally, Sean has obtained four executive certificates from Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education, including an Executive Program in Strategy and Organization, a Finance and Account for the Non-Financial Executive, an Influence and Negotiation Strategies Program, and a Stanford LEAD Certificate in Corporate Innovation.
