Brian Friend

Brian Friend is an experienced environmental scientist currently working at Katahdin Analytical Services since April 2022. Prior to this role, Brian served as an Emergency Medical Technician at White Oak EMS and held several positions at Bigelow Tea, including Quality & Data Technologist and Senior Laboratory Technician. Additionally, Brian gained valuable research experience as a Research Assistant at UPMC, where important studies on immune cell populations and HIV-tropic receptor expression were conducted. Prior roles also include a Lab Technician position at MarkWest Hydrocarbon and an Undergraduate Research Assistantship at Penn State University. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Penn State University and a high school diploma from Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School.
