Katakura Industries Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the textile, pharmaceutical, facility and real estate businesses. The Company has five business segments. The Textile segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of clothing and textile products. The Pharmaceuticals segment manufactures and sells pharmaceutical products used for the treatment of angina pectoris and myocardial infarction. The Machinery-related segment manufactures and sells automobile parts, industrial valves and cleaning machines, fire engines and agricultural machinery. This segment also imports and sells petrochemical products. The Real Estate segment is engaged in the operation of shopping centers and the leasing of real estate. The Others segment operates home centers, manufactures and sells flower-visiting insects, and provides building management service. As of December 31, 2013, the Company had 12 subsidiaries and one associated company.
