Chandan Chopra

Chandan Chopra has had a long and varied career in the technology industry, beginning in 2003 as a Technology Lead at Verizon Communications. In the same year, they co-founded ManagedTel, a Unified Communication Company, where they were responsible for IT and Product Development. In 2004, they became the Director of Software Development at damaka Inc., where they were instrumental in developing SIP based, Peer-to-Peer Communication and collaboration software. In 2008, they took on the role of Manager of Application Development at Think Finance, where they provided tactical leadership and direction for Enterprise Services Team, specifically Corporate Systems, responsible for Loan Originations, Servicing, ACH and Customer Communications. In 2012, they became the CTO of Defi Solutions, Inc., where they were responsible for Leading all information technology initiatives, including business technology planning, application development, security, architecture and IT infrastructure. In 2013, they took on the role of Manager of Application Development at Pier 1 Imports. In 2014, they became the Chief Technology Officer at SunUp Financial, LLC (dba Balance Credit), where they established technical standards and process, developed and led technology strategy that supports strong business alignment & increased profitability. In the same year, they also became the CTO of Essential Lending, where they were responsible for providing credit solutions to consumers and businesses serving customers in the emerging credit markets. In 2016, they founded KleverLend. Finally, in 2018, they took on the role of CTO at Katapult Formerly Zibby, where they were responsible for reinventing Lease-To-Own and providing retailers with a risk-free payment option.

Chandan Chopra obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Sciences and Engineering from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule (MJP) Rohilkhand University between 1994 and 1998.
