Zainah Loulou

Sound Engineer at Katara Studios

Zainah Loulou has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Zainah currently works as a Sound Engineer at Katara Studios since December 2020. Prior to that, they were an Audio Engineer at Al Jazeera Media Network starting from August 2019 until December 2020. Before their role at Al Jazeera, they worked as a Sound Recordist & Designer as a freelancer from June 2018 to August 2019.

Zainah also has experience as a Production Assistant in the film industry in Doha from February 2016 to July 2017. During this time, they worked in various positions, starting as an Art intern and later transitioning into sound and assistant directing. Zainah worked on different projects, including short films and TV series.

Furthermore, Zainah worked as a Research Assistant at Qatar University, where they assisted Dr. Robert Meeds, the head of the mass comm department, with their research using the Tobii device from March 2015 to June 2015. Zainah also worked as an Administrative Assistant at Qatar University from February 2014 to June 2015.

In addition, Zainah had a previous role as a Research Assistant at Qatar University from November 2012 to June 2013.

Throughout their career, Zainah has gained extensive experience in sound engineering, recording, designing, and assisting in various research projects, showcasing their versatility and dedication to their work.

Zainah Loulou completed their Master of Arts degree in Filmmaking: Sound Recording, Post-Production and Design at Goldsmiths, University of London from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Qatar University, studying there from 2010 to 2015. In 2014, Zainah also participated in a Summer Course on Directing for Film and TV at UCLA.
