Michael Donatz

Michael Donatz has held a variety of positions in the technology industry since 2008. Michael began their career as a Mathematician and Consulting Mathematician at Oregon State University in 2008. In 2011, they became a Fellow for the Research Experience for Undergraduates program, where they researched modular forms and the theory of integer partitions. In 2012, they moved to Boeing as a Technical Analyst, where they designed, conducted, and analyzed structural tests for various airplane programs. In 2015, they joined Enigma as a Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented a deployment strategy and testing for the webapp. In 2018, they moved to Bloomberg LP as a Senior Software Engineer, where they had a technical focus on full stack application development, SRE, testing, design and architecture, as well as a management focus on project management, training, sharing best practices between teams, design reviews and postmortems. Finally, in 2021, they became a Technical Lead at Katmai Tech Inc.

Michael Donatz received their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Oregon State University between 2005 and 2014. Michael attended the University of North Dakota from 2013 to 2014 for Mechanical Engineering, the University of Washington from 2012 to 2013 for Computer Science, Higher School of Economics from 2009 to 2010 for Mathematics, Portland Community College from 2006 to 2006, and Linn-Benton Community College from 2005 to 2006.
