Doug Carpenter

Doug Carpenter has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of tax and finance. Starting their career as a Professor Assistant and Course Developer at Purdue University in 2005, they then worked as a Semi-Senior Accountant/Non-Profit Specialist at NESS & CO., LLP. Doug later joined Ent & Imler CPA Group as a Tax Accountant, where they gained experience in tax due diligence, compliance, research, tax planning, and tax return preparation.

Moving forward, Carpenter became a Corporate Tax Manager at Klipsch Group, Inc., responsible for US and international tax compliance matters, tax planning, research, and audit defense. Doug then worked as a Corporate Tax Manager at OSP Group, managing tax provision computations, tax returns, and process improvement initiatives.

Carpenter continued to progress in their career and joined Verizon Authorized Retailer, TCC as a Director of Tax and later became the VP of Tax. In these roles, they were responsible for tax strategy development, compliance, risk management, and providing subject matter expertise for tax-related systems.

Doug then served as the Sr. Director of Tax Services at inDinero, where they led the tax services team. Currently, Carpenter is a Director at Katz, Sapper & Miller, providing financial, tax, and consulting services to clients in various industries, with a focus on tax planning and minimizing tax liabilities.

Overall, Carpenter has a strong background in tax and accounting, with experience in various tax areas such as income taxes, sales and use taxes, payroll taxes, and property taxes. Doug has also been involved in M&A transactions and has extensive knowledge of tax laws and compliance.

Doug Carpenter obtained a Masters equivalent in Accounting and Management from Purdue University. Doug attended Purdue University from 2000 to 2005, focusing on Economics and Finance. In addition to their degree, Doug Carpenter also obtained an Enrolled Agent certification from the Internal Revenue Service in September 2018.
