Justin Mak

Justin Mak is a Kauffman Fellow in Class 28 at Kauffman Fellows and has over 20 years of experience in law and finance. Currently a Managing Partner at Shanda Capital and Executive Director of Legal at Shanda Group since July 2015, Justin oversees all legal aspects of private equity transactions and manages a portfolio of over 60 VC investments in China. Previously, Justin worked as an Executive Director in Legal at Shearman & Sterling LLP, specializing in mergers and acquisitions for over seven years, and held analyst positions at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse before attending Columbia Law School, where a Doctor of Law degree was earned. Prior educational accomplishment includes a Bachelor of Arts in European History from Columbia University.
