Director Of Research, Learning, And Evaluation Initiatives at Kauffman Foundation

Dan Tesfay has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Dan most recently worked as a Data Analyst-in-Residence - Education at the Kauffman Foundation, starting in October 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Data and Analytics at Education Cities from September 2015 to June 2018. Before that, they were a Data Manager at RGV FOCUS / Educate Texas from August 2014 to August 2015. Dan also worked as an Analyst Fellow at Education Pioneers from August 2014 to June 2015. Earlier in their career, Dan served as an Assistant Account Executive and Research Fellow at Hill+Knowlton Strategies from August 2012 to August 2014, and as a Health Policy Outreach Assistant at Consumers Union from February 2012 to August 2012. Dan also had a short-term role as a Graduate Student Intern at the U.S. Department of State in June 2011.

Dan Tesfay attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2005 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government/Sociology. After completing their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at The LBJ School of Public Affairs from 2010 to 2012, earning a Master of Public Affairs degree.
