Steve Belilove represents management in all areas of labor and employment law. He defends international, national and local employers, as well as public employers and not-for-profit organizations, in various types of employment litigation. His litigation practice includes discrimination and harassment cases, restrictive covenant disputes, and wage and hour claims. Mr. Belilove represents clients in federal and state courts, in arbitrations, before federal, state and local human rights commissions, and before a variety of other government agencies.
In addition, Mr. Belilove focuses his practice on professional liability and personal injury. His professional liability practice has an emphasis in legal malpractice and medical malpractice.
Mr. Belilove has extensive experience representing directors, officers and executives, separately and in conjunction with representing their company, in a variety of cases, including employment, products liability, general liability and breach of fiduciary duty actions.
Mr. Belilove also has extensive experience in California State and Federal appellate courts. He has handled a wide verity of appellate matters including post trial appeals, appeals in professional liability matters, general business matters and internet privacy rights. His published opinions include Rare Coin Galleries v. A-Mark Coin Co. (1988) 202 Cal. App.3d 330.
Mr. Belilove has been selected as a California Super Lawyer from 2012 to 2020. Previous experience includes head of the Fraud Unit at a major Southern California company, specializing in handling catastrophic injury cases. Additionally, Mr. Belilove has been on the defense panel for numerous national insurance companies.
