Mara Milkis

Mara Milkis is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in performance and teaching. As the Founder of Dal Sogno Ensemble since July 2022, and a performer, teacher, and coach at the Clazz Music Festival since June 2017, Mara Milkis has actively contributed to the music community. With a long-standing role as a violinist at The Bard Festival and the American Symphony Orchestra, as well as serving as Concertmaster for the New York City Symphony, performance has been a central focus. Additionally, Mara Milkis has been involved in teaching and coaching at the Kaufman Music Center and through private music lessons since 1991. Contributions to professional organizations include holding the position of Vice President/Director at the Brooklyn Music Teachers Guild and teaching, coaching, and performing at the InterHarmony summer festival in Germany and Italy. Educational background includes training from The Banff Centre, the University of Toronto, and the Specialized Music School of the Leningrad Conservatory.
