Daniel Maya

Director, Tax-Accounting for Income Taxes, Corporate Tax at Kaufman, Rossin & Co.

Daniel Maya joined Kaufman Rossin in 2019 and is a Director in the Tax Services Advisory Group. He leads the firm’s ASC 740 and Corporate Tax practice. He has extensive experience providing tax consulting and business advisory services to his clients, including both public and privately held corporations, specializing in ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes and Corporate Tax compliance.

Prior to joining Kaufman Rossin, Daniel worked for one of the big four accounting firms where he served large multi-national businesses across various industries.

In his current role, Daniel takes a comprehensive approach in providing outstanding services to his clients as a trusted tax advisor. He leads a team of experienced professionals, assisting clients with both preparation and review of income tax provisions for financial statement audits. As part of the income tax provision process, Daniel works with his clients, as well as both Kaufman Rossin and third-party auditors, to ensure seamless integration of all income tax components into the financial statements. Additionally, Daniel assists his clients with the preparation of Federal and state income tax returns, representation in IRS audits, and advanced tax planning.

Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University and went on to complete a Master’s of Science in Accountancy from Wake Forest University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in both Florida and Georgia and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
