Richard Salinas serves as the Director of Finance & Operations for Kaufman Rossin, developing and monitoring key performance indicators across the firm's practice areas. He leverages his management experience and people skills to enhance firm operations.
Richard is an accomplished COO and manager with over eight years of leadership experience. Most recently, he served as COO for a multinational fine jewelry company where he managed the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business. During his 4.5-year tenure as COO, he opened multiple retail locations in different countries as well as established a centralized headquarters in South Florida for the 12 retail locations based out of Aruba, Bahamas, St. Kitts, St. Thomas and South Florida. He transformed a paper based and segmented company to a fully streamlined and data driven organization.
In order to properly capture and utilize clean data, Richard sourced and implemented over 9 software applications along with developing new internal roles, building policies, procedures, internal controls and reporting to assure the reliability of the data.
During his public accounting career with PWC and Kaufman Rossin, Richard has worked with clients in the legal, technology, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, real estate, healthcare, and financial services industry. He has provided clients a variety of services, including accounting, internal and external audits, regulatory compliance recommendations, operational assessments, process improvement, software selections, outsourced C-Suite management and risk assessments.
Richard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida State University and a Master of Accounting degree from Nova Southeastern University.
