Joonas Pekkanen

Joonas Pekkanen is currently the Chief Business Officer at Kausal, a start-up based in Helsinki, Finland that helps cities address the climate crisis. Previously, he served as the Founder & Chairman of Vegaaninen lippakioski -osuuskunta, a vegan fast food kiosk project. He also held various positions at the City of Helsinki, including Head of ICT development, Chief Information Officer, and Project Manager. Furthermore, he has been involved in multiple non-profit organizations and committees related to open data, open government, and transparency. Joonas has a strong educational background, including a CEMS Master of International Management, M.Sc.(econ) in Finance and International Management, and a Master of Law.
