David McGrath

David McGrath is an environmental specialist with 14 years of experience in coastal ecosystems throughout the Red Sea, Arabian Gulf, and Arabian Sea regions. Currently serving as the Associate Director for Environment at KAUST, David oversees long-term seagrass monitoring, mangrove restoration, and blue carbon programs in Saudi Arabia. Previously, David held roles including Senior Environmental Project Manager at HDR and Director of Environmental Services at HydroQualASA, and has delivered complex ecological projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Guinea, and Indonesia. David's academic background includes a Master's degree in Environmental Impact Assessment and Management from The University of Manchester and ongoing studies in Ecological Survey Techniques at the University of Oxford.
