Dmitrii Khizbullin

Dmitrii Khizbullin is an accomplished Applied AI/ML Engineer Lead at KAUST since February 2023, with a robust background in autonomous driving and AI technologies. Dmitrii has served as a Principal Engineer at Huawei since December 2019, focusing on research in autonomous driving, distributed neural network training, and tensor compilers. Prior experience includes a Software Developer role at Autonomous Intelligent Driving GmbH, where Dmitrii developed perception components for Level 4 autonomous driving systems, and a Software Engineer position at Starship Technologies, where design and accuracy of neural networks for robotic vision were key responsibilities. Earlier, Dmitrii worked as a Computer Vision/Embedded Engineer at IntelliVision, specializing in video analytics for various applications. Dmitrii earned a Master's degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the State University of Nizhni Novgorod named after N.I. Lobachevsky in 2010.
